Crappy new Reckon hosted

Just wanted to say how irritating your update has been. I really dont like reckon hosted at all now. It’s slow to open up. Some things dont even work. As an example, when i go into Chart of accounts, as soon as I log something in and then want to go to another in chart of accounts, it takes me back to the home page. Just too many glitches. Im thinking if its not fixed soon, I may have to discountinue use. And Ive been using Reckon for almost 20 years

There's definitely some peculiarities with the new upgrade that's taken some time to get used to, but overall it's good.

What are you doing exactly? It might a good idea to add some more detail. When you say it's taking you to the home page, do you mean the actual RAH home screen?

What a total mess the new rekon is. Reports take forever to download, logging in takes too long. This cannot continue or I change providers very soon.

Sorry to hear you're not fans of the new Reckon Accounts Hosted platform as yet but happy to try and help here.

I do agree with Eric above, we need a bit more specific and detailed information and examples to try and understand what's happening along with screenshots where applicable.

For example, which browsers are you using? Have you tried another browser and/or incognito mode to see if there is any change in behaviour that you've noticed?

I have been using it since 2000 and in the past year we are using it in multi user mode. If i try to run a P & L it takes too long to scroll up and down the page. Some reports can take up to 20 minutes to produce according to my accountant who i met with this morning. I am using Chrome and have not tried Safari yet

So I have been using safari. I will try another browser to see if this is better. I do use this on my iPad. It’s the reason I got hosted in the first place as I don’t have a laptop on a desktop which I rarely use now.
Not sure how to explain it any different. When I go into chart of accounts and enter leases paid, bills etc, instead of taking me back to chart of accounts once I have entered the details, it takes me back to the home page (my business home page) I have to keep going back into chart of accounts each time.

Also other things like, I have to hold my finger down and drag it until I get to the heading I want. I used to be able to just tap on the heading and it would go straight into it. Not now, it’s actually quite a pain. Little things like that

Try the shortcut Ctrl A to bring up the Chart of Accounts

Go to View Open Window list - is it ticked.
‘why do you go into Chrt of Accounts and not write cheque to enter, or enter bills in the relevant window?

I do enter bills in the relevant bill window. I enter all my weekly leases in the chart of accounts. If i enter small receipts/bills they go into my cheque account which is also under chart of accounts.

I even have trouble trying to select my employees.

Not relevant to your problem, but do you know you can memorise regular transactions so you don’t have to enter them manually?

Im pretty basic when it comes to book keeping. Not great with tech stuff. I do have the amounts memorised so I dont have to enter them again but I still have to manually enter it. Not sure how to do it any other way.

in your memorised list double click on one of them and they should be set to automatically enter, monthly or weekly etc and the date of the next transaction should be shown. Happy to help anytime
