Non Tax Invoice

My understanding is that Businesses not registered for Tax should not send an invoice with 'Tax Invoice' on it. If this is the case, can we get the option in Reckon Invoice for an invoice with just the words 'Invoice' in the header?

The 'Are you registered for tax?' setting in Reckon One book settings determines the invoice/tax invoice label for invoices in Reckon One.

    Hi @blackmountaingourmet

Welcome to the Community and thanks for raising this 🙂

Can I just confirm which Reckon software this is for? I note that its been created in the Reckon Accounts Ideas category however you have Reckon One & Reckon Payroll listed on your profile so just want to ensure its in the right product category 🙂

    Cheers

NOTE: Original question was posted on the Reckon Accounts Desktop category instead of Reckon One, the response below relates to a Reckon Accounts Desktop product

You can copy/edit an existing template and change the title from "Tax Invoice" to "Invoice".

    Click on the Lists menu

    Select Templates

Click on the Templates button and select New

You can then create a new Tax Invoice type template.

Click on the Additional Customisation… button.

Then change the Default Title to "Invoice".

Hi Rav, I've discovered the reason… I had "Registered for tax "ticked off in settings (Changed things since communications with accountant had not been clear.) So when I created my first invoice, it said "Tax Invoice" and I couldn't do anything to change it for that particular invoice, even after I unticked "registered for tax".

Creating a new invoice after unticking "registered for tax" has created an invoice with just "Invoice".

I'm setting up Invoices in Reckon One in my web browser on the laptop at the moment. But want to be able to use the Reckon Invoice Mobile App going forward.

Great work @blackmountaingourmet. You're exactly right, the Registered for Tax setting controls the label that appears on an invoice/tax invoice.

I'll move this idea to the Reckon One Ideas category and also update its status 🙂

Thanks. Sorry about putting it in the wrong spot. It was a bit confusing when I looked at my Reckon One book that then says Payroll and Accounts. Then using Payroll and Invoice as separate apps…. 😁

    No problem at all 🙂

Since you're using Reckon One you'll find the home for all things Reckon One in THIS category on the Community 🙂
