Re: STP conflict with BAS
Thanks Shaz - will do, and hopefully it will have caught up by next qtr.
Many thanks, Rob
Re: STP conflict with BAS
Hi Rob
The W1 & W2 STP prefilling is still fairly new technology & does NOT update in real time (unlike Reckon's Customer portal for STP does) Also, STP updates YTD balances, however the W1/W2 prefill is purely on each submission so if you've submitted any late ones or Update Events, these will not be reflected in the W1/W2 prefill.
Therefore, you will see - on that screen - that the ATO actually states to adjust to what your payroll records show (if necessary):
It's very important - for both the ATO & for you - that you are lodging the correct figures regardless of what this prefill shows, otherwise all your (BAS) lodgments will be wrong & need revising & you will be paying the wrong amounts! As you can see on the example above β¦ today is 08/01/2025 but the last time the ATO's prefill was updated was 8 days ago ! ππ€¦ββοΈ

Re: Leave Accrues on Bonus Payments
Hi @Acctd4,
Thank you, that makes sense, but unfortunately the tick box is not there. I tried it on our 'hourly pay' pay item and I see what you mean, as it's there for that one, but it's not there for the Bonus item.
Are you saying that I should change the Bonus item to the type 'hourly wage' instead of bonus, so I will get that option? I'm guessing to do that I would need to create a brand new pay item for Bonus as it doesn't let me change the type either.
It's not a big deal, as we don't often pay bonuses, but it also means I forget to uncheck the accrual box when I am entering the bonuses, so I always have to go back to change it all! π€¦ββοΈ
Re: Auto generated Super calculations
Hi @GLDMachFab1
If itβs not automatically calculating accurately, this will likely be due to incorrect configuration in the Super Payroll Item itself - Open the Payroll Item List (under the Lists dropdown menu), double-click on it & check the settings in Taxes (State Payroll Tax should be selected but NOT PAYG Tax !) & also that the correct pay items are selected in the final Inclusions windows.
Feel free to email me direct if you need help with this π

Re: Leave Accrues on Bonus Payments
Sorry I just checked and I think Iβm in the wrong place, I will get back to you to you later if no one else does
Re: Leave Accrues on Bonus Payments
@Kris_Williams do you mean the payroll item list? The only annual leave there is the one I choose when an employee has taken leave. Or is this another payroll item in the company setup or somewhere else?
@Alexis McKeown, I honestly can't tell you that as I wasn't the one that set it up, so I am not sure sorry.
Re: Reckon Accounts Personal Plus v31 (2024) fails installation on Parallels
If the previous version Reckon Accounts Personal 2022 was successfully running on a Windows 11 Pro under Parallels virtualization software, on a ARM based Mac, then it was uninstalled, then the Reckon Accounts Personal V31 was installed and fails to run, then any attempt to re-install the older Reckon Accounts Personal 2022 also fails.
Consider, setting up a brand new fresh VM of Windows 11 Pro using Parallels and installing the Reckon Accounts V31. Confirm if this works.
