To be honest I'm not sure yet but I've flicked a message over to our dev team with your report so I'll see if they can shed some light on what's happening.

I started to do this, changed the button to "employee", but as soon as I select the Repay Loan payroll item, up comes "You have chosen a payroll item that cannot be adjusted. You can only adjust tax payroll items.

So next time, stayed with the Company button, was able to enter an adjustment, and OK, and then up comes a window "Account for E;ee Adj." with the default being Wages & Payroll Exp in the P&L.

Cancelled out of this, worried it is going to put a transaction through that will effect P&L. These deductions have correctly gone to the loan a/c in long term liabilities.

OK, finally worked it out. Before clicking OK, there is a button on the right "Accounts Affected", here you can select "do not affect accounts" then ok, and it has worked.

But I haven't come deductions all going into payroll liabilities before. Puzzled as to why this has only happened since I started this new deduction Dec.23.

Any payroll deduction that’s configured, will accumulate there.

I just use the Adjust Payroll Liabilities option - with Do not affect accounts selected - to clear it (each month or qtr) ☺️

I've got the same problem. I've used Quickbooks/Reckon for over 20 years. I just want to type in an amount or a name and have Reckon One find it, simple. A good search engine is a must in any business software

Reckon One search "facility"

In the olden days I used to write help screens for IBM mainframe systems so I think I feel overqualified to comment. The search facility within Reckon One leaves a lot to be desired. Alls I want to do is search for an amount that I found on the bank statement. It's impossible. The help on the search facility is ridiculously complicated. Ive only been using Reckon for 20 years. Why could the developers not just take what is already in the Reckon desktop product and use that? It's the best search facility of any of the sme software. Thank you for your time.

Looks like Reckon has completely mishandled invoicing issue and has not had best intentions of clients. Like I said the only time this feature is any good is if there is an update to invoice but again if the customer has already downloaded incorrect invoice you still need to notify them to re-download so it's still extra effort. To me that doesn't save time or effort but look at all the mess you have created by forcing users to click links and rely on Reckon servers to download the invoice. Revert it back to attachments and don't force people into something that clearly doesn't add value or make things easier.
