No attachments available when transferring Quicken Personal Plus to a new computer

I have successfully relocated Q Personal Plus to a new Windows 8.1 laptop, and transferred to data files over just by copying them. All files are present in the new computer including 541 attachments in the Attach directory. I did not restore the data from a backup, I just copied the data over in its entirety.
But the new Quicken says "There are no attachments available". The path to the Quicken data and attachments is identical on both new & old computers. What can I do to reestablish the link between the Quicken data and the attachments? With 541 attachments, there are way too many to recreate them.
Help will be appreciated!
