I have just upgraded from PP2016 to PP2017.  When I try to open my old data file I get the message "Required dlls for converting your data files are missing".  About 20% of the time the data file will open but rest of time will not.  Any ideas?  Have been using the PP range for about 15 years and have all my data in it!image

Hi Neil, thanks for your post and Welcome to Reckon community.

What operating system are you running on your computer?

I seem to have solved this by disabling Avast antivirus for the Quicken folder  -  this was mentioned in the upgrade notes I acknowledge.  Will advise if it returns.

I spoke too soon!  Problem is back even with Avast uninstalled.  I'm running Windows 10

Hi Neil, thanks for reaching out to us.

Please uninstall and reinstall PP 2017 with Avast disabled.

Have done that and it seems stable again.  Will see how it goes from here and report back.  Thanks!

Unfortunately issue is back.  If I restart the computer it will usually load up, but if I close then try to reopen it usually won't open the main account file.  But sometimes it does!
