Reckon Hosted Windows Script Host Error Is anyone else getting this error - tech support said an hour ago that a server might be being rebooted and that i should try again in an hour but they would let me know if it was a bigger problem - No messages, phone calls or emails and still not able to get on to hosted

    Hi Dianne,

Its possible all the files you are trying to open are on the affected file server.

Our other file servers remain healthy at the current time.

Hi, yes I have been able to do that, unfortunately all the files I need aren't shared with that profile, one out of ours works. I have just been able to log in using my normal profile. Fingers crossed the issue is now fixed!

Hi Simon, It seems to be associated with my user profile rather than the data file. I am able to log on with my second user profile (... -2 ), but not my first user profile(...-1). am able to access the file that i was having trouble logging in to. Still getting the windows script host error message with the first user profile if that information is any use :)

    Hi Diane,

Thank you for that information, I have passed it on to the team and will keep you updated.

Just to confirm the data you could not access is accessible on the -2 user but the -1 user could not see it?

Hi Simon, I am receiving calls from one of my clients too. Under my user I click on her folder and get 'Network Error'. Under her user I get the attached errors, first a Script error, then the inital RA opening window > Open company file, then there are no files. I had this same error a few months ago. IT had to fix it. Make that I can't upload it cause the upload image here is not working on Chrome. :-( Kind Regards Kim Chapman

On user one when I click on launch Ra I don't get through to select any file to open. The script error comes up first. On the second profile I can go all the way through abd select file and log in to at least two files.

    Hi all,

We are continuing to work on this, we do have IT involved Kim but this is not user specific, its something affecting the files on one particular file server.

    Cheers

Thanks Simon. I didn't doubt that it was involved. Hopefully it is fixed by tomorrow. Best of luck. Kind regards Kim Chapman

    Hi all,
Thank you for your patience this evening. Approximately 5:30pm NSW time our chosen technology partner incurred a hardware failure with one of our file servers which caused them to be unavailable.
Once we became aware of this issue, we worked closely with our technology partner and have managed to restore access to the file server and files.

You would have experienced a windows script error if your Q:\ was unable to be found due to the file server being unavailable, or alternatively not all your files may have been accessible.

The number of files affected was a very small subset of those hosted on the Reckon Accounts system and I would like to reiterate that this was a problem with users being able to access the files as opposed
    to the files themselves

This issue is now resolved, we have confirmed there is no data loss and you should have no further issues with your files or being able to find them.

    Thanks
