set closing date not working

am using Reckon Accounts Enterprise and trying to set the closing date, but when i click the button nothing happens.  Am in single user mode, is there something else i'm mean to do before i can close the periods?

    Hi Maria.  As there is more than one button to click on for this process, which one is not working?  Are you able to give a bit more information please?

    Hello John, the button that is not work in the 'Set Date/Password' under the 'Company Preferences' tab (Edit/Preferences/Accounting/Company Preferences)

    Maria I have found you have to be logged in as the Admin user.  A message does not pop up if you are an other user other than Admin, nothing happens at all!

    Try logging in as Admin user.

    I tried your suggestion and it works, thanks so much, it was doing my head in pressing the button and nothing happening  :)
