Reckon does not reliably write database file to disk. (Hourly Backups Needed)

I'm testing out the backup system for Reckon Accounts 2018, and have a question about how reckon commits it's changes to disk.
Setup:
6 Windows 10 Users, with the file hosted on Windows Server 2012r2 via the Database hosting utility.
Backups:
The database file itself, is duplicated via a program called "Goodsync" onto a NAS every hour. Daily, this is synchronised to a cloud backup.
The built in backup method is unreliable as it requires single user mode, everyone must log out. People are unreliable, and often leave themselves signed in at the end of the work day.
Problem:
The database duplicate was 1 day out of date, despite being copied hourly when I verified it. Transactions for Friday were missing, when I tested on Monday.
Question:
Does Reckon Accounts write changes to disk only when the every single user quits?
Do you have a known, reliable and hands off backup method?

I think you will find Goodsync (I haven't used it) may of copied out of sync version (maybe timestamp issue). I had issues years ago doing something similar. Never used syncing software for Reckon ever again.1

Thank you for taking the time to answer in detail. I'll write up a script to do as you suggest. I cant find the license for goodscync amoung the client's documents anyway. Why didn't I think of killing the task? Fantastic!0
