So when you download your hosted file and open in Enterprise if required, what is the difference between that Enterprise version and the desktop version?0

Hi Kris
There's no difference at all - Hosted IS Enterprise but access is via Reckon's server instead of installed locally on a user's PCShaz Hughes Dip(Fin) ACQ NSW, MICB

Thatβs what I thought, so is it not feasible to change from Hosted to Desktop Enterprise (after purchasing a license) and download your file if online is no longer your need. I also thought that whilst ever you were paying to use Hosted you were entitled to one copy of the current version of Enterprise, not just in the first year.1

Most Reckon products are by subscription now so if you are using the free Enterprise that is given by having hosted you can carry on forever on your desktop, you simply cant go to a lower version, but that has always been the case.

You are right but if you went to Hosted you were expecting to pay that anyway and that cost is still less than the stand alone of Enterprise.

Hi Gerry,
We can perform an analysis to confirm whether a clients Hosted/Enterprise data file can be converted to a Reckon Accounts Premier compatible data file.
If a data file that is in the Enterprise / Hosted format makes use of Lists that exceed the list limits of Premier, then whilst it can still be done, the user would encounter the problem of not being able to add new list records.
Users can request a data service on the Reckon website http://www.reckon.com/au/data-services-request/
