Backup Issues

I have just upgraded from personal Plus 2015 to PP 2020. I previously had no issues with backing up, but now every
time I perform a backup I get an error message and my program shuts down. Can someone on here offer any advice please?

This can be caused by a couple of issue. I assume you are using Windows 10 as your operating system. If that is the case it seems that PP2020 can have issues with the sometimes long pathnames in Windows 10. Try creating a folder in the root directory, i.e. c:\Reckon and save your files to that folder. Once you have done that, open the file and try backing up again.
Also, on advice, I had to change the filename of my Reckon file to 8 characters or less. This I did and it solved another problem that I had. I have no idea why this is so.
Try my first suggestion about a folder in the root directory first. If that does not work then also change your file name to 8 alpha numeric characters or less.
