Reckon keeps closing when we enter data

We are using Reckon hosted and lately whenever we enter anything - a bill, invoice, journal, Reckon closes.

Sometimes it saves the entry sometimes it doesn't. But we have to re-open the program and login again every time.

We have run the "Clean Up Company File", deleted cookies.

It is very frustrating!

There is no error messages, the program just closes.

Any help to fix this would be appreciated

Hi Robbi,

Which browser are you using when this occurs? Does the same thing occur if you open Hosted on a different browser?

Rather than the 'Clean Up Company File' option, I'd highly recommend running a Verify & Rebuild if you haven't already. There's info on how to do this in Hosted here -

Yes we tried the Verify and the Rebuild too.

Using Chrome; will try a different browser and see if that helps.

But we have several licenses and some of us have no issues using Chrome, but there are 2 of us that keep getting kicked out. We all do similar data entry.

Hi @Robbi ,

It's likely that this is an issue specific to your data file, and not your browser.

To verify this, please try the following:

Use a sample file or create a new dummy file. (Save it with a different file name. DO NOT OVERWRITE your old file with this dummy file). Enter an invoice/bill/etc. Does it still crash?
Create a new user account to your file (under company>users) with full access. Enter an invoice/bill/etc. Does it still crash when you login as the new user?

Hi Robbi,

You've indicated that you have used the "Verify and Rebuild" functions.

Did that result in the process completing and indicating that there are no errors found or indicating that there are problems?

Did you review the "QBWIN.LOG" file that is generated as a result of the Verify and the Rebuild process?

How many licences in total do you have?

How many users login to the Hosted platform at the same time?

Of the two users that 'keep getting kicked out', can they login to the Hosted platform using a different computer than the one they currently use, such as on another computer where a user who normally logs in to Hosted does not experience any problems?
