BankData and Payee

I am using Reckon Accounts Hosted 2020. Our Bank is Bendigo Bank.

When I download and view the details ... instead of "Payee" it displays "Description" of each bank transaction and off course this is not recognised and a window comes up with "Name not found" and wants me to add a new name??????

The "downloaded transaction " window shows the "description" under the "Payee"

eg Jack Bean deposits $150 to our bank account and adds a description "Invoice 12345" ....... In Reckon (Downloaded Transactions) it shows under Payee ... as "Invoice 12345" ... I need it to show "Jack Bean".

Hope there is an answer to this.

That's BBL for you. They are easily the WORST bank to deal with and their implementation of bank feeds is atrocious. Do what I do. Down load the qif file and import it manually. It will take a bit of extra time at the start but you'll work it out.

Call me if you get stuck.

Hi Zappy. Tried that with same result. I'm new to using BankData so I've been ploughing through this for the past couple of days .... trying to get my head around it. I must have watch a dozen youtube clips and they seem to actually show that the banks description comes up under Payee ??? That just dosn't make sense to me especially when I'm trying to add a rule.

As discussed, BBL are THE WOOOOOOOORST ( in my best Jean Ralphio voice) they don't seem to care either. Have you ever tried ringing them? Forget it. Their IT systems are rubbish. I still like my idea better. We already discussed this. Let me know if I can help. It's what I do.
