I have backed up on a USB Stick my QF Home file on my old computer nd I am trying to restore

Have tried to backup data to my laptop. I have installed the program which has data which was in an old system on the laptop that has expired. When I go to edit I tried to restore the back and get a message if I continue I may override the the existing data.

Can you give me instructions to download the data
