Backup file problem

My computer has had it's hard drive replaced. I use an annual subscription for Reckon Home & Business 2021 which I've downloaded. I'm having trouble uploaded the last backup I did before the computer died from my external hard drive as it's not recognizing the file. The backup up file has the "e" before the file name like the internet explorer "e".
