Failure of Backup Date File Date to Match Actual Date of Backup

Reckon Personal Plus help instructions state that the backup process includes the date of backup to enable later identification of the latest backup file. After years using the 2013 version I updated a few days ago to the 2021 version, but the QDF Data file date always remains the same "QDATA_20160928". I would like to understand how that happens and what I need to do to correct the situation so that the principle stated actually is applied.

It would appear to me that the Personal Plus software is failing to reconcile with the current date on my PC system.
