Hi, I tried to lodge EOFY 20/21 report on recon payroll, but the system automatically includes the resigned employee from last financial year. I have put the last day for the employee on STP app in last financial year. How can I delete the resigned employee on Reckon payroll app.

thanks

You'll need to archive that employee (screenshot below).

hi, @Rav I have archived the employee who resigned from last financial year.

But when I lodge 20/21 EOFY report, this resigned employee will still be included in the 20/21 EOFY report.

how can I opt-out this employee from 20/21 EOFY report.

    thanks

    Hey Ben,

This sounds strange. Just to double confirm, was this employee active at all during the current 2020/21 financial year? ie. Are all the totals for this terminated employee $0 for all values eg. gross pay, super, tax etc?

    hi,@Rav

I have put the last day on 01/12/2019 on STP app for this employee. Later I migrated to Reckon payroll app, but the fish date of this employee changed to 29/06/21 automatically.

I did not create any pay runs for this employee in 20/21 Financial year. All values eg. gross pay, super, tax are 0. When I lodge the EOFY report, the system includes this employee as well and all value are 0.

    Ok thanks Ben.

Just to confirm, if you change the finish date of the employee in Payroll App back to what it should have been originally and then create a brand NEW EOFY report, does the employee appear in there as well?

If you can let me know either way that'd be great as it sounds like we've got a missing link here somewhere that needs some attention by our devs.

    Hi, @Rav

I cannot change the finish date of the employee on reckon payroll. I only can put start date but there is NO finish date option for the employee on Reckon payroll app.

If I missed anything, could you please show me how to put the finish date for the employee.

    thanks

    Apologies, you're right disregard that.

It looks like the Finish Date gets auto-populated when an employee is archived in the Payroll App so its a bit different to how the STP app works.

Can you shoot me the ABN that you're using with the Payroll App, I'd like to run this over to our app devs so that we can get on this.

    hi, @Rav

please check your message. I post the software ID and ABN to your message.

should I waiting for the devs to remove the resigned employee and then lodge the EOFY report ?

    thanks

Thanks for that Ben, got your message.

Leave this one with me just for now as I'd like to get some clarity from the team around how its best to handle it and then I'll confirm with you.

Hi @Rav I have a related question. I did my EOFY report in the STP app yesterday and the ATO has confirmed all OK. Today I set up the Payroll app and seem to have successfully migrated my data. We only have one employee and that employee finishes on 4 July. Their final payment was in June, so when I set up the new Payroll app today, I 'archived' that employee (we have a new employee starting next week). When I archived the employee, his finish date automatically changed to today, 30 June.

Does it matter that I originally had a finish date of 4 July 2021 in the STP app and now have a finish date of 30 June 2021 in the Payroll app? Will it cause any issue at the ATO end of things, or is this info only recorded with Reckon anyway?

In a way, I'm thinking it might streamline the 2021/22 EOFY report anyway to have this employee finishing on 30 June 2021, given that all payments were received in the 20/21 year?

    Many thanks

    hi, @Rav

Instead of payroll app if I use payroll web to submit the EOFY report, can I opt-out the resigned employee in the EOFY report ? Will this way cause any problems?

    thank you for your help

    Hey Ben,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you on this. Unfortunately this is affecting both the mobile Payroll App and also in the web access.

I've got the team investigating this though, I'll link info on this below -

I'll let you know as soon as I get some more clarity on this in terms of when a fix is going out. Really sorry for the hassle its causing you at the moment.

    thanks @Rav

there is another problem I am very confused about.

I checked YTD figures with the employees. The figures on one employee’s income statement of my gov is big difference to the figure on reckon payroll. I have submitted 26 successful pay run (STP) for this employee. But from the income statements of this employee, it seems only one pay run successfully went through to her income statement. What should I do now ? Thanks

The figures on another employee’s income statement matches to the figure on reckon payroll.

    Hi Ben,

I've added an update to my announcement in relation to the terminated employee issue which I'll link below.

At this stage we're looking at releasing a new update on Friday which will allow you remove these unnecessary employee(s) who are appearing in the EOFY report. There is a (current) new update (v2.11.10) that has just been released overnight though so I'd recommend that you download that from your app store if you haven't already.

Is the balance that is appearing in the Payroll App for this employee correct OR are you saying that the balance in the app is the one that is incorrect?

    @Rav

you are a legend. thank you very much for your help and quick reply.

I saw your updates on Reckon community yesterday. I submitted the EOFY reports on Payroll website and I can select the employees who I want to include in the EOFY report. Everything goes well now.

    thanks again.
