Hi is there anyway to access a Reckon Hosted file without having an annual license. I only have the one client on Reckon and don't want to pay the annual $600/$700 just to review their file? What are the best options? Can the client just add me as a user or do they need to pay an additional fee on their end? thank you

The client should add you as a user anyway but if you want to use the system concurrently you will need an additional license. I dont understand your problem. Isn't it a business expense? Why don't you have your own license? Or you could fire the client and I could do it. Either way.

Hi Zappy, I currently pay the annual fee to be licensed, and have for the last 20 years, but all of my Reckon clients except this one have switched to other products and now they are my only Reckon client left. I don't do enough paid work for them to make the annual fee worth while. Looks like I will have to advise them to find another bookkeeper or switch products themselves. Thanks for your comment anyway.

If they are long time clients why don’t you ask if you can logon using their details, as long as you are not trying to login at the same time. That’s what I do for some friends

Jodie seems like your course of action is clear. I'm stunned you didn't recognise the limitation of the software. I've been using it since the beginning. It does make it VERY expensive option. The other software doesn't charge a per seat license fee. There isn't even a concession from Reckon for 2nd and subsequent licenses. It's certainly not an incentive to recommend it.

Well JoJo you shouldn't be recommending they change software unless there is a compelling reason. And this ain't it.
