Time Costs in Reckon

Hi everyone,

We use time costing to invoice our clients but have found it a bit messy to manage in reckon especially when we only want to invoice for part of the time cost.

We currently use a separate invoice template to record our time costs and then either create a new invoice to bill the customer or convert the time cost template into the template we send to clients. It gets hard to manage like this when only billing for part of the time cost.

Has anyone had similar issues and know of a solution either within reckon or using 3rd party apps

    Hi Mark

Can you be a little more specific as to what it is you 're not able to achieve ?

In Time/Costs - if you use the integrated Single Activity / Timesheets (under Employee dropdown menu) > Time - you're able to select (tick) which time entries you want to invoice. Although you're unable to opt to only partially bill those hours, a workaround is to split out these time entries as per how you wish to invoice them.

Another option is not to make the time costs "Billable" & instead just use the billing cost report(s) as a means of determining/tracking, then manually entering the time you want to bill for on the invoice.
