Im using Reckon Accounts Plus 2020 and wish to import bank data to reconcile, do I have to purchase Reckon Hosted to do this or is there another option. If so how much is Reckon Hosted or can I update from Accounts plus 2020?

    Hi @KERRIANNE SIMS

You will need to be on the latest version which is 2021. So you need to upgrade - either to Reckon Accounts (RA) Plus 2021 or to Reckon Accounts Hosted (RAH) Both are on annual subscription, either $690 for RA Plus or $800 for RAH. RAH also has the alternative option of a monthly payment of $ 69 p/mth.

RAH is exactly the same but a higher version (2 versions up from Plus) so has ALL the RA features in it. The upgrade process for your company file is the same for either.

RAH is just on Reckon’s servers so you can access it from any PC/tablet at any time - no installation required as Reckon do it all so it’s always “current” !

Feel free to contact me direct (email’s probably best) if you want assistance with this or to discuss further 😊

Bank Data is a small additional monthly fee - on top of either your RA or RAH subscription - dependent on the number of transactions. (I personally don’t use bank data feeds as I memorise most of my transactions for auto-entry anyway so most are already in there 😁)

Thankyou! But you say you don't use bank data you just memorise your transactions and it does it automatically, sorry for the confusion but are the transactions imported from your bank still and you add them manually????

I do the same as Shaz, memorise the regular ones that don’t change and manually enter the rest. For some I enter the total page of receipts, all uninvoiced and eftpos that don’t need recording individually, and I always reconcile one page at a time. Makes it easy to find mistakes without having to check the entire statement, which is sometimes many pages

Thankyou Kris. I do the same with the uninvoiced and eftpos receipts that don't need recording. I just thought importing bankdata/statements may make it quicker and easier to reconcile because at the moment I print off my quarterly statements and work off those entering each record necessary, manually.

@KERRIANNE SIMS No, it’s not linked to your bank accounts at all. The Memorised Transactions feature allows you to Memorise (eg “Save”) a transaction. You can then choose a specific date/frequency for the program to Remind you to enter it, or for the program to automatically enter it for you.

Upon opening the program on that particular date, it will have a pop-up message either reminding you to enter it or to enter it automatically for you!
