Bill Entered (Items)not showing on P & L report

good morning ..i have entered a bill to USD A/P account..."Expenses" and "Items" . The "expense" costs show on the P& L report but the "items" costs dont show. any help greatly appreciated ..thank you

Is the item an inventory item? If so it won’t show on P&L

So it should show in the stock asset account and when it gets sold the average cost goes to Cost of Goods Sold and comes out of stock. It’s not easy to grasp believe me. I avoid inventory items if I can, depends on your requirements
