Payroll Item
On my Payroll Summary I have 2 payroll items that are Addition allowances that appear in the Gross section that I wish to have shown in the Additions after Tax on the Payroll summary..
These payroll items are Meal allowances which are not taxed and are not shown on the Payment Summaries and nor are they included in the Gross on the ATO portal.
How do I move these payroll items to show as an Addition on the Payroll Summary and not in the Gross.
I have another payroll items for Travelling Allowance that shows in Additions after tax which is correct, but cannot get the Meal allowances payroll items even though they when I look at the set up they look exactly the same.
Any help please so I can balance to the ATO online portal.
Thanks in advance, Carolyn.

Ah .... OK, so it's an Overtime Meal Allowance !
Because it's specifically an "Allowance", it will always display in the "Total Gross Pay" section on the Reckon Accounts Payroll Summary report because it's part of the overall employee's total gross amount. However, as it's not taxed & not reportable, it shouldn't reflect like that within STP.
So ... to answer your question, unfortunately, it can't be displayed differently on this report. I believe Reckon are planning to introduce some STP-specific reports though which will allow us to match the amounts & categories more relevantly! ☺️

Aren't these particular Allowances a fixed amount per pay/pay period though ?

Meal allowance is paid after a certain amount of overtime is worked, it depends on if they work overtime or not, so no it varies and is paid as a quantity per week.
