Edit a PAYROLL item - "type" from "hourly rate" to "other

when the previous lady set up a payroll item for phone allowance,the TYPE is "hourly wage" and it accumulates an extra 1 hour each time i apply it to an employee every month. I want to edit the item as "other" type, so it gives me the additional column in payroll i enter in "1" and it doesn't affect the "hours". i've gone through the payroll item, but cant change it there.

    Apologies for the inconvenience.

    As the Pay item is in Active state and has been used in Employee Pay runs. Unfortunately, you will not be able to make any changes to that item.

    However, if the hour for the employee is fixed for every pay run, you can add that to their Pay set-up in Employee record as in the screenshot below -

    By adding that to the employee Pay set-up, when you will be creating a pay run, it will bring the details mentioned in the set-up and their you can manage if you like. I hope that helps.
