The application was unable to start correctly - Personal 2022

I have a new laptop and have upgraded reckon software from 2013 version to 2022 version. I am not completely IT savvy so the specialist IT person (and I really felt he knew his stuff) I bought my laptop backed up all my data and then deleted all the old software and installed the new software and added back the data of past transactions. Everything worked fine for a few days but now the program will not open at all and a window opens and says "The application was unable to start correctly". The folder with all the data still exists on the laptop.

How do I fix this?

    You need to give me a call and let me have a look at what he's done. coz it ain't as simple as that. And I hope you have some backups from your previous program

    I am loading up a new laptop, and wish to use Home Business 2016 (been using for years).

    Can I download the 2026 version and then register it again?
