    Dear @tonys63 ,

This normally occurs if Outlook's handshake protocols have been altered by recent Windows updates.

Can you perform the following and see if it works:

    1. Go to Edit.
    2. Select Preferences.
    3. Select Send Forms.
    4. Under "My Preferences", change from Outlook to Outlook V2.
    5. Send an email again.

If you get another error, let me know, as we have further guides you can use to correct this error.

    Kind regards,

    Hi @tonys63

Were you able to fix your issue? After a couple of months of issues, I now am unable to email anything from Reckon.

We use Desktop manufacturing 2024, and for the last two months have used Outlook 365 which we paid for. Since Friday 15/11, I am completely unable to email anything.

    Getting this message:

I have tried the suggestions in the mapping error notes given, but nothing has changed.

I really need help with this.

    Dear @54668 ,

Do you get another error (relating to a COM Class Factory Error) when swapping to Outlook V2 in the Send Forms preferences?

If so, it's possible your Outlook installation may be corrupt, and it requires uninstalling and reinstalling.

Inherently, MAPI and COM Class errors originate from Microsoft's end, and as such, we can provide only limited assistance outside of the guides we have been provided.

    Kind regards,

I get this error when swapping to Outlook V2 in send forms. Then it doesn't go any further.

I have no idea how to do the other suggestions you have given (sorry, I am not confident in IT)

All I want is a program that will email invoices and statements. I have had issues since end of September.

    Totally lost

    Hi @54668,

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing difficulties with sending emails. I have attached an article below that offers instructions to help you resolve the email issues.

Additionally, I would like to mention that this appears to be an issue related to Microsoft Outlook rather than a Reckon-level issue.

From what I understand, an Outlook update was pushing the 365 to the new Outlook, which doesn't work with Reckon. I was able to allow our IT person to log in and he has uninstalled the new Outlook, left us with 365 - which is working!!

    I will keep fingers crossed.

    Hi @54668 ,

Yes, you are correct, and as mentioned in the knowledge base, this issue relates to an update from Microsoft Outlook.

Thank you for informing us that it worked after you uninstalled new version and installed the classic version.

I'm glad to hear that the problem has been resolved!

    Kind regards,

    Reeta
