Reckon Hosted 2023 - STP2 Leave Loading

With the new breakup of wages does Leave Loading still get added as an additional pay item or should it get entered under Wage to show the Leave Type O?

    Hi @Vanessa McDonald

    It should still be a separate Payroll Item.

    Along with the other standard Leave Payroll Items, ordinary Leave Loading (paid on Annual Leave taken) should also be mapped to Leave - Other paid leave (O) ☺️

    I am still unsure of this too. Leave loading is currently set up in additions (Other Payroll Items category on pay slip) Leave - Other Paid Leave O, but holiday hourly is set up under Hourly Wage (Earnings category on pay slip) - Leave - Other Paid Leave O. Should Leave Loading be set up under Hourly Wage to keep it consistent and have it move to the Earnings category? Thank you.

    Hi Annette

    The new STP2 allocations are not related to how it displays on the Paycheque itself. They’re solely just for reporting in your STP submissions.

    All ordinary Leave - & standard Annual/Holiday Leave Loading - should be mapped to Leave - Other Paid Leave (O) ☺️

    Thanks so much Shaz @Acctd4 , would it be beneficial to re-create leave loading to the wages category so it doesn't get lumped in with allowances in the payroll reports?

    Hi Annette

    No, these categories are only for your STP submissions (how the ATO wants to receive the info), they don’t change anything in your reports ☺️
