Can you raise an aba without actually processing the payments in the system

I need to be able to raise an aba file for the supplier payments that i can give to my CFO to upload to the bank. However, i do not want these payments to be processed in the system. This will save me deleting the payments if he does not pay them.

    Hi Sancia,

have a look at this http://callidex.com/?p=162 it can also take money from customers if they have approved direct debits. Nice little tool, I have been using for quite a few years.

Hi Sancia  Why not print out the unpaid bills report and give that to your CEO. He can tick the amounts he wants to pay and then you can create an ABA file. My thoughts are you are wanting to do something the wrong way around.

nothing disturbing - I have been using for years for a traditional aba file and a client of mine has been using it for years and years for getting customer payments. Of course they had to get a direct debit permission form from their customers but as their customers make monthly varying payments my client can input the amount and extract the funds into their own bank acc - much like a HP or loan repayment works.

It is a very simple program once off cheap payment and Paul has always been more than helpful with customised changes or questions etc

    Hi Kevin,

It doesnt...it is a purely manual cut and paste into excel type doc and then a create aba file button to create a file format to upload to bank. I use it for a 200-500person casual payroll per fortnight as I get 50+ new people each run and often some bank details provided are wrong (and so bounce back) and occasionally they dont answer to correct them and get their funds (very small amounts 20-$80) so I wont process pays in an accounting system till all have successfully gone through bank (its harder to correct with STP if reversing a 1 off pay). I also use it for a client that is using MYOB essentials for supplier payments (it is not able to create an aba file for them!).
My customer payments client has a template setup where they could just type in the amount...you can duplicate the creator as many times as you like, so you can have say a few templates for different periodic payments....also years ago, I got them to receive the cust pmnt in Reckon, then memorised a report they could export to excel to just copy and paste figures into aba creator.

It is for unique use.....I actually used it a couple of times when a Reckon payrun did not create a viable aba file and could not retrieve an aba to recreate, and this was the solution rather than deleting payrun and starting again (I am talking about a very large payrun so this was the best time consuming solution)

It is cheap and handy to have if you have a need for a manual aba creator.
