We have thousands of items/products that we sell and we buy from multiple suppliers.  Is there an easy way we can change the buy and sell price of a certain supplier, by adding a percentage increase?  I know you can change prices via items activity - change prices, but this brings up all items in our inventory not just the ones by a single supplier.

    Hi Lori,

If you have a preferred supplier listed for your item, you can export your item list to an IIF file (File>Utilities>Export>Lists to IIF>Item list, open it in Excel and sort the file by Preferred Supplier (PREFVEND).  You'll have all Preferred Suppliers' items together and you can use excel formulae to change the price.  Then import back into your company file.

    Hope this is useful.

    regards,
    John

Lori, try it , its not as easy process, will still require your manual handling sorting out right mapping, since you got lots of items, you will need to spend time in this.

    Hi Lori,

When you save the file make sure you choose to keep it in its original format - IIF.  If it gets saved as a .txt file, then rename the file from .txt to .iif.

When sorting, make sure you sort just the Items and their associated columns across the whole file, and leave all other parts of the file as is.

When you import, the IIF content will overwrite the Item Record content.

    Hope this helps.

    regards,
    John
