running reckon accounts plus 2014. Just upgraded to windows 8.1. Error message while lodging BAS through ATO business portal lodgement " qbEAS.XML -  This file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, create an association in the Default Programs control panel."  Tried doing this, but not enough information to create the default. Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Hi Lucy,

Reckon has a knowledge base article on this that can be found at http://kb.reckon.com.au//issue_view.asp?ID=224.  There are not steps specific to Windows 8.1 but they do have them for Windows Vista.  The steps would be generally the same, except for the first step which is to click Start.  You will just navigate to the control panel however that is done in Windows 8.1, and from set the program associations to Internet Explorer as per the article.

    Hope that helps.

    Regards,
    Shane.

Hey Lucy, with script errors, playing around with IE's security settings tends to do the trick. Please see: https://community.reckon.com.au/reckon/topics/script_error-qp98i

thankyou, I tried that but didn't work. I went into internet options, security and disabled the xss filter while lodging bas then enabled it again. Worked fine.
