We have Reckon Accounts Hosted . Can anyone please advise if it is possible to import Invoice transactions into Reckon on a regular basis?
We have a Shop Production Management System that tracks our jobs from Quoting through to Invoicing. It has the ability to export the Invoices out into Excel.
We are wanting to then IMPORT the Invoice Transactions into Reckon Accounts hosted on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
Is this possible? If Yes, how do we do this?

Hi Jon,
The only way to import data into Reckon directly is using IIF but it is not the best way as it will require you to learn how it works and convert your files.
What I can help you is to create a custom solution just for you that can extract data out of the other system automatically (if they have API) or read the exported excel file and import into Reckon the way you want. Since I’m not working for Reckon, it will be a cost for that. Please let me know if you are interested. My email is phuong@cactussoftware.com.au

I have just spoken to reckon Support asking the same question. The representative that I spoke to advised me that reckon hosted does not support the importing of transactions via iif files ie. invoices & bills. Interested to see if anyone has been told differently? Looks like by the reply above, that you can outsource this through other software support systems...which I feel defeats the purpose really??? What are your thoughts? Regards Rebecca0

Yes ,Reckon Support is correct , you may try Transaction PRO US based import tool, or you can talk to us . And also you are using Reckon Hosted which can bit more work .

Hi Rebecca,
The recommended method is to make use of the Reckon SDK/API.
If your organisation has a team capable of developing your own in-house solutions, then they can use the SDK.

The Reckon Accounts software (desktop and Hosted) can also use IIF text format to import transactions such as invoices.
This is what the Reckon Point of Sale software uses to send invoice transactions to the Reckon Accounts software.

Making use of 3rd party software or services is also a good alternative.
