Is there a way for a user to be notified when another user has created a sales order. currently we have to constantly refresh to see if a new one has been created

No, not that I have ever found. What kind of problem is this causing you? Usually you will only know if another has opened the same invoice/sales order at the same time is when you save your doc, it will prompt you to notify that it has changed the number because someone else used that number.

Not so much a problem. I am in the warehouse while other people put in sales orders. I don't know that there is a new order for me to fulfill unless I constantly refresh...

So it might be useful if they would email you the sales receipt when they process it.

it's not one click,  nothing is in Reckon.  It's so clumsy.  You still have to manually type in the full smtp address  grr.   And still, the system has ONLY ONE From smtp address, cannot the user smtp address of your account, - grrr.  When will this change.  three years i have been waiting.  Others probably longer.   Reckon knows who i am, and my account profile [hence i cannot give myself a payrise] but still the FROM:  smtp address defaults to the system admin, or accounts person at a global level.   Grrrr.   Fix it guys and gals.

I have put in requests in the past for additional email line for orders, sales, etc etc as very often we need to be able to email different documents to different departments.
I hope you have submitted a similar request.

what would be really good for me is to be notified when a new sales order has been created. I am in the warehouse and constantly need to refresh the sales order screen to see if anything has been added. problems can happen if I refresh just before someone enters an order there is then a chance of me missing it until the next refresh.
the system knows what user has the sales order screen open as it locks others from accessing it so a pop up message may be possible?
another option is to have user messaging built into rekon and have an option that when a sales order has been created to automatically message a user?

Unfortunately not every program is going to offer everything an individual requires. Even though your problem is not isolated, I have personally set up over 950 businesses in 15 years, but overal this is a great program. Please be sure to put in your request to support.

You can have open a sales report dated today. A simple refresh of this will let you see if anything has been updated, or you will have to request all staff to send you a quick note by email that they have issued a new order. Maybe you could download messenger and have everyone active to send instant messages.

deb, it's not one click and you know it. one click, then change the FROM smtp address, since it CONSTANTLY [by poor design] shows the company wide email address] , and then you need to type in the To: address. then SEND. Quite a few more than ONE . Stephen has a great point and Reckon simply lacks WORKFLOW design.
