I need to change the screen font size for Reckon accounts for one of our installations. I’ve followed this advice here:

Exit QuickBooks, if it is open.

From the Start menu, point to Programs, then point to Accessories, and then select Wordpad.

From the File menu, choose Open.

In the Files of type field, choose All Documents (*.*).

Find the drive and directory where your QuickBooks program is stored (usually C:\Users\Public\Documents\Intuit).

 From this directory, select the QBW.INI file, and then click OK.

 Scroll down to the end of the QBW.INI file.

 Leave one line blank, and then type the following, using whatever font and size you want.

Example:

[Fonts]

FontName=Arial (this line is optional)

FontSize=12

 But this didn’t work. Please advise what else I should try.

PS - the only option within the program uses Windows to change the display properties. This changes the properties for ALL programs on the computer. This is not a satisfactory solution.

Thanks

John

    Hi John,

    Thanks for joining the community.

    In regards to those instructions you have received, it is for an outdated version of QuickBooks which seems to date back to 2004. This will not work in the latest versions of Reckon Accounts and you will have to manually change the monitor resolution on your windows settings.

    To solve the issue please try this:
    In your Screen Resolution settings please slide the resolution bar down 1 notch at a time to see if the size of Reckon Accounts has changed to your liking.

    Please also keep your DPI settings to 100% (default).

    Regards,
    -Alex

    I changed the monitor settings to try to increase the font size in quickbooks and in doing so now everything is blurry. Can quickbooks come up with a solution to increase font size?
