Unpaid leave recordings and leave accruel

If i have a full time employee who is having a full pay period off in un paid leave am i able to exclude the employee from the weekley pay run or do i have to record a nil pay some how. If i am simply able to exclude the employee from the pay run will all leave accruels accrue for the unpaid week or not as there is no pay run for that period, very new to this system I am using reckon one

    If your leave is setup to accrue every pay or every hour then you can exclude them and nothing should change.
