Coloum adjustment "Create Sales Order, Purchase Order, Invoice etc

Is there a way to save the coloum sizes when creating "Sales Orders, Invoices etc  ??????
 - everytime I create a new Sales order  etc I have to adjust the coloum sizes to be able to read the info I am inputting - it gets very frustrating when it has to be done over 20 times whilst entering data...
