Are you trying this on 18/19 or 19/20 version? I think you are trying to submit a pay event report. Tick Update Event"box and then submit. Also, on the govconnect, you should be using selecting Financial year closing option.1

We get the same error. Using 2018/19 version.
Also clicked the 'End of Financial' button and then uploaded to the site and selected the EOFY option.
I heard upgrading to 2019/20 version and re-running the above fixes this? True?0 -
Yes. That's correct. Upgrade it to 2019-20 version and then run the STP report. Follow this link if you need any further info : https://help.reckon.com/payroll-premier/single-touch-payroll/processing-eofy0

I have this error on a terminated staff member - how do I fix this? Running the report in 2019/2020 version has not had any impact.

I agree. I struggled a lot on the terminated employees. I don't really have a straight solution for it. If you see terminated employees on 2018-19 STP, then on 18-19 STP red out all the others that you are submitting on 2019-20, Select EOY button and also tick it Update file instead of file replacement that way you will not get the Gross pay and PAYG figure on your STP report. Hope it helps!!0
