accessing accounts whilst travelling overseas

whats the best way to access to my reckon accounts plus whilst travelling overseas this year.. currently using an office PC and was thinking of getting a laptop ..or would an Ipad suffice???

Reckon Accounts Plus is a desktop-based software.

You can either:

a) install it separately on a laptop

b) use some remote access software to connect to your office PC

c) Upgrade to Reckon Accounts Hosted and access your data using a web-browser on an iPad or other tablet device or laptop

Consider the kind of network connectivity that would be available to you during your travels to narrow down the most appropriate solution.

Hi Michael,

The "TeamViewer" software recommended by Kevin is a remote access software.
In the event that you remote PC/laptop shuts down, you'd need to have someone be able to turn it back on.

In the event that your remote PC/laptop shuts down (even if you always have it on), you'd need to have someone be able to turn it back on. (Unless your laptop can automatically turn itself on when it has been turned off such as when the electricity supply has been cut unexpectedly, then comes back on.)

Basically consider your situation and make the appropriate decision.
