Unable to finalize pay run as says employee is inactive

I've been trying since yesterday morning to try and finalize my payrun but a message pops up saying I'm unable to as at least one employee is inactive... I have one only employee and he is active as far as I can see so not sure what's going on?? When I click into STP the payrun in marked as draft only and I can't save it!!! Has anyone else had this issue?? Help please
