Error Code -6010, -100 on start up of company file

We have tried the ALT on starting, which shows the "no Company Open" (or words to that effect) and shows the company file we have on the system.

When selection this file, it returns to the error message.

I do not which to reinstall the program without understanding the problem that has occurred.

    Have you tried restoring a backup? Just don’t overwrite the existing file for now

    Have not tried the last backup. will do that and not do anything with the existing at this stage.

    Just make sure you restore to a different location or use a different name. I often take a copy of the current file and put it somewhere for safekeeping
