Import customer list

If I import a customer list from a new business (merging with our current business) will it override the existing customer list in reckon accounts hosted?

    Hi Andrea

    It will overwrite existing customer records. It will also create new records for those customers in the IIF that are not yet in the QBW file.

    So for example if the two businesses have a customer called 'Red Rooster' and each one has different address, phone, email details etc, then it would be logical for the data that is being imported to replace the same customer record in the QBW file.

    Also its highly highly recommended that you FIRST backup at least a couple of copies of your existing data file ➡️ Do the import ➡️ Then check that all is still as you expect. If not, then you can quickly restore the backup.
