STP Payroll App

I cannot access the old STP files to process my EOY pays for the period before it was decommissioned and replace with the new STP App. I don't have access to the old app to finalise that period for my ATO EOY payroll summaries. The period I am missing is July 2021 to Sept 2021. When I log onto my own ATO details I can see the older 2021-2022 STP files have been processed for the old period as a separate entitly for the period 2021-2022, but it states it needs to be finilised to ensure correct wages are processed so employee's can do there tax, and I don't know how to do it without the old files. Basically the ATO shows 2 x 2021-2022 pay entries that total the correct final pays but only the latest figures using the STP App from Oct 2021 have been finalised. How do I fix this

    Are you now using the Payroll App and if so, did you choose the option to migrate your data over from the old STP app when first started using it?

    Can you please clarify the above, in particular where you mention that it shows as a separate entity/2x. When you started using the Payroll App, did you start from scratch again at that point in time? ie. not migrate your existing data to pick up where you left off but instead start over again

    What is the ABN that you're using on the Payroll App and previously the STP app?

    Yes I did migrate.

    After this I still had issues it was duplicating the figures at the ATO, meaning the ATO information showed the old STP figures as one company pay detail and also adding it to the current STP APP wages paid. I contacted Reckon and the ATO back when this was happening and was told to help rectify the duplication by Reckon to remove the old STP pay values from the current STP APP.

    I did this going into each employee record on the STP APP and updating the initial balances (which was figures from old STP APP) to $0.00

    This seemed to work giving correct ATO wage information, but still as 2 STP file transactions. But now I see that the old STP app files sitting in the ATO accounts cannot be finalised as I have no old STP APP access to finalise.

    I feel if I add them in now, it will duplicate again...

    If you went back and zeroed out the balances in the STP app then I'm assuming that the additional entry on the ATO end for the balances sent from the old STP app is now showing $0.00 and in a not tax ready status, is that correct?

    Is the other entry ie. the one pertaining to the Payroll App hold the correct balances to date?

    More importantly, are the balances in your Payroll App EOFY finalisation to date, correct?


    I'm just trying to work out how/why you have two entries on that end. If you migrated your data from the STP app to the Payroll App then it shouldn't have had any impact in creating two entries in this fashion ie. it should have just continued on.

    The other thing I can think of though is, was there any changes to employee information in particular the employee number and/or TFN during the year as that can create issues where it then creates two income statement entries for the employee in MyGov.

    HI

    The ATO details are not showing $0.00 for the old STP App period. It is showing the figures I originally had in the old STP app before migrating to the new App.

    The ATO details on all employees ATO records shows 2 entries under my business - 1 old app figures, 2 new app figures. Together they total the full FY details for each employee and seem to be correct as per payroll summaries FY.

    The STP processed for the FY 2021-2022 was only the figures for the new payroll App as I thought becuase the ATO has a record of the old APP info it was correct. I had no idea I still have to process the old APP figures as mentioned I don't have access to them now.

    I just downloaded the entries for my STP files from my Mygov. ATO company file and all are listed in the ATO records.
