HELP!! Getting an "Error on Line 18" message when uploading .IIF lists to new account
Hi guys,
We have recently purchased a business and as part of the transfer the old owner as downloaded all of the Reckon Hosted Accounts lists to an All Lists.IIF file.
We then open our new account and go to import and have been getting the following error message:
Error on Line 18: You can't change the type of an account. OK
When you press Ok you then get the following:
Warning. Your data has NOT been imported successfully.
Has anyone come across this before?
PLEASE HELP?!!!!

Hi @jmckean911
Open the IIF file as a spreadsheet in Excel and scroll down to the line that the error occurred on in your case line 18.
There will be 2 pieces of information that are important here: Account Name and Type. Note what these are. Go back into your Reckon software and open the Chart Of Accounts and find the Account that is causing the problem. Take a look at whether they are the same or require attention.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year everyone! 🎅🎆
I'm on leave from 23 December and back on deck again January 6th.
If you're working through the holiday period, we've got support available and you'll find our holiday hoursHERE.
