STP 2 error code

What does error code on STP2 ,Payee Record Count must be equal to the number of children (PAYEVNTEMP) mean ?

    Hi @RachelP

    Have you already upgraded to Reckon Accounts 2023?

    If so, can I get you to please create the STP file in Reckon Accounts 2023 again, export it and send it through GovConnect one more time. Just want to check whether it was a one-off issue in the creation of the file or if it persists.


    If you still encounter the same result, take a look at the STP Export window in Reckon Accounts (example below)...


    .. and compare it with the employees that appear in the STP submission in GovConnect (example below). Is there an employee missing when comparing the two?

    Hi Rav,

    I also have a client that is getting this message. We have now posted 3 times. When I open the detail after uploading it is missing 3 employees.

    Any ideas?

    Hi @Wilma

    Can I just clarify, did you create a brand new STP file each time you submitted on those 3 attempts OR did you use the same STP file that was originally created and sent it through 3x?

    If its latter, can get you to create the STP file again in Hosted and send it through one more time and let me know if you still receive the same response?

    Alternatively, if you already did do that and are still receiving the error, can you send me your ATO receipt number in a private message and I'll see if I can get some more info about this.
