Not allowing MFA for individual users

What is the point of Reckon allowing individual users under a login if they now cannot login without the MFA that goes only to the main user? Seems to be set up to force every user to buy their own Reckon login at a cost of NZ$770 per year.

    Hi @nance.s

The introduction of mandatory MFA to Reckon Accounts Hosted has been brought about to be in-line with a compliance requirement and also cybersecurity best practice.

However with that said, its also important to note, this hasn't changed anything around the terms of licences. A Reckon Accounts Hosted licence is specific to the individual and isn't designed to be shared among multiple people, much like other online accounts you may have.

We are required to enable MFA on the login to the Hosted service itself and I believe you're referring to file user credentials set at a company file level, not every Hosted user uses this, its an optional functionality and is used to differentiate access to a file based on required/relevant permissions. MFA cannot be set at this level, it's already past the point of login to the service.

Put simply, a login (username) to the Reckon Accounts Hosted service = an individual user.

We have a file user set up who only has access to Customers and Items to create estimates but they cannot login without getting the MFA from the main user. Is there a reduced Reckon Accounts Hosted licence when a user is only accessing a small part of the company database?
