Salary Sacrifice / RESC totals on EOFY Payroll Report

Hi guys,

I work for a business that currently uses Reckon One Payroll app version 1.47.0

In October 2023 we upgraded from an older Reckon payroll to the new Reckon payroll (version 1.47.0)

One of our employees (we will call him Bob) pays 370.00 per week in salary sacrifice.
when we went to the new Reckon Payroll, initial figures were entered for each employee.
We entered an initial sacrifice amount for Bob of 4810.00 (13 pays x 370.00)
We then set Bobs pays to continue deducting 370.00 per pay.

Now that I’m ready to finalise the EOFY Figures, I’ve come across a query..

In the Salary Sacrifice column, Bob has a total of 4810.00 (which is the initial figure entered when we moved to the new Reckon Payroll).

In the RESC column the total is 19240.00.

This RESC amount I believe is correct as it’s made up of the initial figure of 4810.00 plus 14430.00 (which is the total of salary sacrifice that Bob has paid since we started using the new Reckon Payroll).

My question is will there just be a RESC amount appearing on Bobs income statement?
Or is there also a separate ‘salary sacrifice’ amount aswell??

I’m hoping there is only just a RESC amount, as this would make Bobs income statement correct, and I can leave it as is.
If you can please advise I’d really appreciate it!

Thanks a million!!
Donna

    Hi @donnasidey

Just wanted to clarify a couple of things.

In October 2023 we upgraded from an older Reckon payroll to the new Reckon payroll (version 1.47.0)

In regard to the above, do you mean you switched over to STP Phase 2 for your Reckon Payroll STP submissions at that time?

When you create an EOFY finalisation under STP Phase 2, salary sacrifice is disaggregated and balances will appear in RESC and Salary Sacrifice as shown below.

On the other hand, if you haven't switched over to STP Phase 2 yet (which I'd strongly encourage you to do for compliance), then it will only appear attributed to RESC in the EOFY finalisation.

Let me know if you have any questions 🙂

    Hello!
    Thanks for your reply!

Yes we switched over to STP Phase 2 for Reckon Payroll STP submissions at that time.

And yes there amounts in both the Salary Sacrifice as well as the RESC column.
I’ve contacted our accountant, and they advise it is all correct!

But I do have one more question for you!

When I finalise the EOFY payroll, will I receive a copy of all employees income statements??

Or are they only available in each employees MyGov account??

    Thankyou!
    Donna 😊

    Hi Team,

I posted a message earlier but I feel it's going to get lost amongst all the other questions submitted today.

I have one employee who's salary sacrifice appears in the 23/24 payroll summary under "pre-tax deductions" but it doesn't appear in the RESC column. We have other employees who salary sacrifice and their amounts show in both columns. Why is there an anomaly with just this one employee?

Another problem is that when we started STP2 last year, I thought I was using the correct salary sacrifice tab (SS) but it wasn't right as it should have been "Salary sacrifice for super". Is this going to be an issue for reporting the EOFY finalisation? Do I have to correct this error and resubmit or it doesn't matter?

    Thank you.

I don't believe you'll receive a copy of an income statement as they're specifically for employee and only available via a MyGov account.
