hi

I tried to run EOFY for the employee in question however he is not picked up. YTD is 0 as he came across from payroll premier already finished but not terminated. So his final YTD values were picked via final STP off payroll premier.

On reckon payroll, I terminated him and expected that the EOFY would create a report for him with 0 values indicating his termination. however it does not pick him up at all.

I excluded him from my lodgment 2 wks ago in order not to hold up everyone else.

Any ideas?

    Hi @vittoria

If the employee has no balance ie. zero, then there's nothing to report which is why that employee isn't appearing in the EOFY.

Was there anything paid to this employee in the 2023/24 financial year prior to your migration to Reckon Payroll?

yes prior to migration and that was reported via the EOFY on payroll premier. I thought for completion it would pick up the termination which happened on reckon payroll albeit with zero balances.

    Hi @vittoria

Did you create this employee in Reckon Payroll yourself and enter in those zero balances or did they come in as such from the Payroll Premier migration?

If the employee wasn't terminated in Payroll Premier they should have been brought over to Reckon Payroll in the migration and I would have expected the balances paid to them in the 2023/24 financial year to be brought over as well.

Just a note, employees who were terminated in Payroll Premier were not migrated to Reckon Payroll. This should have been advised when your migration was being carried out and there's info on this in our migration article HERE.

    I understand-I didn't bring over anyone terminated

This person had finished the week we migrated but had no been terminated I assumed i could just do it on the new system

I had to zero out his YTD IN RECKON PAYROLL (as i did with all employees ) as ATO already had his 23/24 data via payroll premier EOFY when I lodged. otherwise would have have counted it twice- i did confirm with ATO.

Right ok, so they were finalised in Payroll Premier?

In that case it sounds like you've done everything right and this employee doesn't need any further action from within Reckon Payroll itself. Is that correct or am I misunderstanding?
