Reckon Desktop 2023 Licence Refresh

Question

I have paid for my yearly licence, am I able to refresh my licence for Reckon Desktop 2023 without upgrading.  I know in previous year's I have only had to upgrade every two years.  As I don't use the payroll through Desktop, it is not necessary for me to upgrade every year.

I've checked in with the Customer Service team and unfortunately, that October 1 date cannot be extended. You'll need to upgrade to the 2024 edition which is already available to you as part of your subscription prior to that date.

The current versions contain improvements to existing functionality along with bug fixes as well so its recommended that all our Reckon Accounts users are on the latest version of the software as soon as possible.

In the past you actually werent. Renewals were annual. I dont know why you think otherwise. For one thing, STP has been supplanted by STP2. Then theres the tax table changes.

You can upgrade if you need the new version

And you can isntall 2024 to the new server after it is installed. Or you can bring forward the new server.

Hi Rav,

I received an email saying that I am unable to refresh my 2023 version of Desktop Reckon Accounts after 1st October.  Do you know if an extension of that date is possible?  We will be installing a new server in the future, and I would rather wait until that happens then install 2024 version.  In the past we were always able to refresh for two years.  What would have changed?
