How do I change Branch code from 2 to 1.
Hi there.
I am lodging the first STP for a company and have noticed that it shows the branch code as 002. It should be 001. It is Reckon Accounts - can anyone help? I have just rung and registered the software ID with the ATO.

Now please change the Tax Rego ID on the end for the 3 digits to 001:

when I go into reckon govconnect - GST Branch is still 2? and this message comes up when trying to upload

Could you please answer the following questions:
You just registered with the ATO for branch number 001?
Have you previously registered within your Reckon Portal account the GovConnect entity for 001?
We can check this for you if you direct message me the ABN and if there is not one registered for the branch. If there is, we may need to transfer that to you if you are the account holder of the ABN.

how do I message you the ABN? This client had been using 1 software package for 2 businesses.

and from what I understand, the software had not been registered with the ATO when I was talking to them. They then advised to use branch 1.

nope that doesn't work either.
but this is what is registered - we need GST branch 1

Thanks for all the info you've provided so far.
Since you've tried to register branch 1 of your ABN but received the 'ABN already registered' error, it suggests its already been registered in GovConnect at some point previously. If you can't see it in the same spot as your existing branch 2 registration from your screenshot above, then its likely been registered under a different account to the one you're currently using.
We'll need the ABN number to look at this further. If you can please provide it here that would be great.

I've just taken a quick look and it looks like there was an issue with the branch 1 registration which was not allowing you re-create the GovConnect. It has now been cleared so can you please try registering branch 1 of your ABN again in GovConnect and let us know how it goes.
