Hi

I'm using Reckon Hosted, there use to be a button you could tick to send an employees tax file declaration through with STP, the button isn't there any longer. So do these still get sent through with STP? as i've noticed that mine hasn't been

thankyou

    Hi Kris

that was what l thought, yet l have 2 employees where they haven't when we switched employees from one company to another. Is there any way of checking?

    Hi @Tarryne

TFN declarations for an employee are now a standardised inclusion of STP Phase 2 submissions which is why the previous checkbox has been removed.

Just ensure that you have entered their TFN correctly and it will be included in the STP Phase 2 submission you create in Reckon Accounts Hosted.

    Hi @Rav

Is there anyway of checking this? Shouldn't it show up in the employees myGov under Employment if it has gone through? as this isn't happening

    Hi @Kris_Williams

If they had gone through wouldn't they show up on the employees mygov under employment?

Yes they should show in the taxation section of their myGov, Income statement. If you log onto the portal (portal.reckon.com) and go to the name and click details on the far right, it will show you all the details including the TFN

Everythings shows correctly on the portal, but not on myGOV it still has old company as current employment. Maybe it just means that the ATO aren't updating anything that comes through from STP2. Maybe l will have to go back to paper Tax File Declarations as something isn't working correctly

you can’t use the paper one but you can print out that page on the portal from the finalisation event - the one that says 0.00.

I would check the figures against the Reckon report for the year, and the employee may need to ring ATO. This happened to me once and I had to give them manual figures

The Income Tax statement has gone through not a problem, with all correct figures. I'm just trying to work out why the ATO is not updating individuals employment records when they receive the updated employment details from Reckon through STP2. Surely the employees shouldn't have to go online and manually update their details on ATO MyGOV. From what l can see Reckon Hosted is doing everything correctly but the ATO are not updating any information that they receive.😪
