Pure Black Screen Issue When Opening Reckon Account

Hi everyone,

Pure Black screen appears whenever I try to open Reckon Accounts. The software seems to start in the background, but the screen remains blank, and I cannot interact with it. I have tried restarting my computer and reinstalling the software, but the issue persists.

Has anyone faced this problem or found a solution? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

    Hi @romromillys

    Just to clarify, you've posted in the Reckon Accounts Desktop category, can I just confirm that is the software you're using?

    Or are you using Reckon Accounts Hosted which is the cloud based edition that you access via your internet browser?

    Thank you for clarifying! Yes, I am using the Reckon Accounts Desktop version installed directly on my computer. The issue occurs when I try to open the software—it launches in the background, but the screen remains completely black screen, and I cannot interact with it.

    I have already tried restarting my computer and reinstalling the software, but the problem persists. Could this be related to display settings, compatibility, or something else?

    Sorry to hear that you are having issue running Reckon Accounts.

    Could you please try clean uninstall an re-install the software?

    Thank you for clarifying! To troubleshooting the issue further, Can you please provide information below?

    • What windows version are you currently using?
    • When you did uninstall, Did you do clean uninstall and reinstall? if not, Can you clean uninstall and then reboot the computer can install in Safe Mode?
    • Do you have any firewall or antivirus? if so, Did you turn it off?
    • Is there any error shows when you tired to open?
    • Did you run the software as an Admin?
    • When running the software and you go to Task Manager and see if the software is running? Can you please share a screenshot?
