Thanks for nothing
I am in receipt of an email, clearly from your marketing department, that tells me you're doing a favour for me by giving me features I don't want, elevating me to a product (Pro) I don't want, for a higher price, but again doing me a favour by discounting the Pro price. Frankly that is insulting! If you're streamlining and scrapping the simpler lower price product, say so, but please do not try to tell me you're doing me a favour. For the first time since signing up for Reckon One many years ago I am looking at an alternate solution. It is a huge pain to change accounting software, and perhaps that is what you're counting on.
I run a tiny not-for-profit that ones requires Reckon One's cash accounting. No invoicing, no bank connection, no payroll - nothing but the simplest cashbook accounting. Years back your own staff convinced me you were the way to go, and it has been sufficient for anything I have needed (except I wish your receipting rules were effective). It seems you've lost sight of those with minimal needs, by scrapping the option designed for us.

I can certainly appreciate that price adjustments and product enhancements may not always align with every customer's specific needs, particularly for those using Reckon One in its simplest form. We've put a ton of work into Reckon One over the course of the last 18-24 months including STP Phase 2 compliance, upgrading Reckon One's payroll experience, access to the Reckon Payroll, Reckon Invoices and Reckon Mate mobile apps to name just a few and there's a lot more to come before the end of the year. That said, we absolutely hear you and recognize the importance of simple, cost-effective solutions for customers like yourself. The improvements and features we’ve introduced are designed to enhance the overall user experience along with giving users access to more tools to enhance their workflows.
